Ulcca Joshi Hansen, Ph.D., JD

Vice President, PEBC | Executive Director, Colorado Boettcher Teacher Residency

Hansen oversees the strategic direction of professional development activities for educators, and the Colorado Boettcher Teacher Residency program. Prior to joining PEBC, Hansen was Associate Director for Educator Effectiveness at the Colorado Legacy Foundation, where she served as the Director of the Technical Advisory Group to the State Council for Educator Effectiveness (SCEE), then worked with the Colorado Department of Education to assist with the development of a state model evaluation system.

Hansen earned her Ph.D. in Education from Oxford University on a Marshall Scholarship, a J.D. from Harvard Law School (awarded a Soros Fellowship), and a BA from Drew University (awarded a Truman Scholarship).

Deborah Barton

Program Director

Barton is the Program Director for the CBTR and joined in 2007. Barton is responsible for day-to-day operations, logistics, event planning, recruitment and selection, and supervision of field and administrative staff.

Barton has over 20 years of experience in higher education administration. She earned her Master’s degree in Student Personnel Work in Higher Education from the Ohio State University.

Belle Faust, Ph.D.

Director of Curriculum, Evaluation & Org. Learning

Faust is the Director of Curriculum, Evaluation and Organizational Learning and has been with the Program since 2009.  Faust is guiding integrated internal and external evaluation plans to assess the impact and efficiency of the organization.

Faust has over 17 years of experience in higher education administration. She earned a Ph.D. in Quantitative Research Methods from the University of Denver, a Master’s of Arts in Cultural Anthropology, and a Bachelor of Business Administration.

Isabel Woytek

Residency Field Coordinator

Woytek is the Resident/Member Field Coordinator and joined the CBTR in 2011. She collaborates with the Residents, and their Mentors, to support their development throughout the residency year.

Woytek worked as an English language acquisition resource teacher in Denver Public Schools, and earned a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado at Denver, and a Bachelor’s degree from DePauw University in Mathematics.

Dana Tucker

Post Residency Coordinator

Tucker is the Post Residency Coordinator and joined the CBTR in 2011. She collaborates with the Residents after their first year to coordinate professional job placements, instructional coaching and career pathway opportunities.

Tucker started as a high school literacy teacher in Aurora Public Schools, and earned a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado at Denver, and a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University.  She also has a principal license from University of Denver.
